Trained as a Biologist with special focus on ecology. Has worked with developing biology education, science education, environmental education and education for sustainable development since the early -70s, in Denmark, in the Nordic countries and international related to primary school, lower secondary school and teacher training. Associate Professor at the Danish University of Education, Department of Curriculum Research in Copenhagen. Has been occupied with birding, (bird watching) and nature photography since childhood. Now much engaged in photography in general. Has travelled all over the World (nearly :-) and enjoy the family life in Denmark with wife, 4 grown-up children, their sprouses and (until now) 8 grandchildren, including two 'bonus grandchilren'.
